In Other Words Tuesdays

This week, Debbie is hosting "In 'Other' Words" at her site, Praise and Coffee. She has chosen a quote from the A.W.Tozer. Visit her site and be inspired by her take on the quote.

"I want to deliberately to encourage this mighty longing after God. The lack of it has brought us to our present low estate. The stiff and wooden quality about our religious lives is a result of our lack of holy desire. Complacency is a deadly foe of all spiritual growth. Acute desire must be present or there will be no manifestation of Christ to His people. He wants to be wanted. Too bad that with many of us He waits so long, so very long, in vain." A.W. Tozer

This is such a timely quote and I do believe we need to encourage one another to chase after God, pursue Him , long for Him. Its not just complancency but the weight of the worldly things that distracts us in our race. We cannot run the race alone on our own. We need other believers to cheer us on, lift us over the hurdles, and run along side us.

  1. That is so true. We need other people to cheer as along as we become discouraged and really need to keep our focus on Christ.
