I am not one to post on our day to day life. But its been a while and this week was a busy one! We spent much of the week mowing, clipping bushes, cleaning out leaves, cutting down bushes that long ago should have gone. It always feels so good to get the yard cleaned up after winter.
We opened all the windows. Dusted and cleaned. Not a true spring cleaning but a start. We did go through clothes and under the beds.
We began taking the dog on very long walks once again. ( has been too cold, so he has had to get by with a short 6 block route). We all so enjoy seeing spring begin to bud and blossom. The dog of course enjoys smelling everything. His newest interesting quirk is he loves eating acorns at the park and howling at the geese. He also whines when we leave the park. We have only had the dog since July and we are still learning about him! He is a joy.
And yes we did get a full week of school in. My 16 yo managed to work 3 hours a day and do all his school inspite of his surgery. The girls figured out to get their work all done by lunch so we could spend the afternoons outside. ( I know they can do this but in the colder months we tend to daddle!) We managed a full 5 days of art. We had planned to only do three however the gals are enjoying the study so much that they ask to do it each day. I am doing school too. I am studying and researching as I want to put together some unit studies to share and sell. Being very type A I want to have all my ducks in a row. I have been doing unit studies for 15 years....I would think it would just roll off the pen! Perhaps this is what they call writers block.
My 16yo is learning about filing taxes while my 21 yo is learning how to do deductions on his taxes. And we learned that we will be getting a sizeable refund! Good News for us. We are still not employed but know we are in the Lords care and continue to rejoice in His awesome provision.
You said you were getting out in your yards and opened the windows - where do you live? It's too cold here for that - at least today! Enjoyed reading your blog.
