No Procrastination Challenge

Okay gals here is my biggest project. PHOTOs!

I want to get all the photos into albums. ( I have shoe boxes full)

I want to make a special album for my almost 22yos. ( birth to now in a cool album )

I want to document our trip to California in a fun way.

I want to do this in a reasonable amount of time...but there are so many! So I will start with our trip to California. ( two years ago) We have 3000 photos on file ( digital). Of course I am not going to keep them all! I just want to accomplish one family vacation book from start to finish.

Please tell me there are others out there who do not get photos into albums?! Am I the only one?

Timeframe...thats hard. Need help here.

Here are the pictures of the box of photos, basket I tried to organize photo album stuff in, and yet another shoe box of photos. This does not count the digital photos on the computer. Hubby just showed me how to tell how many I have stored....are you ready? 32,524. Can I back out of this challege now ....just kidding. How do I eat an elephant...one bite at a time right? Okay gals so some encouragment is needed here!!!!!! It cost money to print out the photos. We do have them in order by year and month and they are backed up on a Jazz Drive. So maybe I should just concentrate on the ones in the boxes?

BTW gals I had to clean out a closet to get to these photos. So I did accomplish one item on my long list of to dos that I always put off. And I was able to tote a bag to the thriftstore, find the missing sheets and shoes, and take half a bag of stuff to the trash.

I have boxes of photos I haven't done anything with yet! I did buy photo boxes to put them in (I'm not even dealing with photo albums!) and two shelves to put up in the closet to put the boxes on. (I won't tell you how long ago I bought these things - I don't even remember!) The boxes are still wrapped in plastic, and the shelves aren't up. I'm hoping to accomplish this sometime this fall.

  3. Good morning, my friend!

Yes, there ARE other people out there who do not put their photos in albums... you're reading one, lol! This is a great idea, and one I may hijack after the big stuff in my home is done (sigh), so in like 2020. lol

This sounds totally do-able to me, and I would set a time limit of two months per album, setting aside a minimum of 30 minutes each day to work on it. Do you have a space that you can keep your things out on, or do you have to pull them out and put them away each day? That's what makes me avoid things. Designate a space, if you don't have one, and that way your 30 minutes + each day are truly productive. You can do it!!! :D

    Have a lovely afternoon!

  4. I used to be so good at it until I went digital. Now I am 2 years behind getting them printed and into an album. This may be the challenge I need to do as well.

  5. Hey, where are your pics? If 'I' have to post an ugly before picture, we ALL have to post one!!!

I just want to encourage you to do it. Even if it's just one picture!!! That's all I did!!

    C'mon, you can do it!!!

You'll feel great when you come back and see the before ones compared to the finished project!!!

    Hope to see it soon!!!

    Hugs,

  6. I had to laugh at your mistaken comment on my blog about the photos. I read it and wondered, how in the world you knew I was behind in my photos! Too funny!

  7. Rest assured that you are not alone. It's hard for me to get decades of photos out of shoe boxes and into albums, let alone tackel the digital photos.

I think you have the right idea on how to start. I will check back to see how it is going. Maybe, your project will spur me on.

  8. Wahoo !!!! YOu go girl !!! You are on the right track ! I am sooooooo glad I followed God's prompting to start this meme. I know now that God is just going to be blessing us all through us wittling down our to do lists. And it is going to feel GOOD to get them behinds us. I am right there with you on having to scrapbook pics. I don't know how many pics I have on my computer but WOW you have some picking out to do. I like how jenn4him said her goal is to print out 30 pics each month. That is a good bite at a time goal. [0=

You will do it my friend. Keep us posted each week on how it is going.

    Thanks for being so gracious with my nagging you! :}

    Still love me?

See how good you feel now that you've started?

I started mine yesterday and I kept thinking of you!!! I found 'some' pics and had to stop and look through them all.

Not a good idea when you're on a time crunch! Ugh!

I'll be praying for you! If you're anything like me (ADOS) you'll need it!!!

    Hugs,
