Show and Tell Friday/Bloggy Vacation

This is more of a newsletter or a "Tell" rather than show and tell.

We had a fantastic VBS this week. Our church was transformed to the days and time of Jesus from the time he rode in on the donkey untill his resurrection. We saw many children come to the Lord.

We were so blessed this week to see many answers to prayer. Most were different financial needs ( some of which were wants , others complete necessity). One which makes my heart sing was the answer to the girls prayer for money for a specific history book. We do not buy new books as we simply do not have the means to. However the gals really wanted to do Mystery of History 3. We have done MOH 2 year before last and just loved it. So we prayed and ask for provision. Through a few different avenues the money has come in and we are purchasing MOH 3! I had already planned to do a specific time period of history and even put up stuff on my history blog in prep for that. But I felt a check in my spirit a couple of weeks ago while working on the history plans to wait a bit. Then my gals saw the MOH 3 in our local homeschool store and begged to do it this upcoming year. I was so glad I listend and stopped planning.

Starting Saturday, I am taking a bloggy vacation . I need to organize my word files, bookmarks, and ready my blog for school time. I will be choosing two memes to participate in during the school year, cleaning up the blog from vacation mode, and basicly putting myself on a blog schedule.  I will also be putting in some long hours on schedules .  I like to get the whole year done. Lets face it , math is math and 180 days is the school year. So I go through the whole book and write ( type) up a schedule with assignments for each kid. I do the same for grammar and vocabulary/spelling assignments.

Please come back in a week!!!!!! I love sharing with all of you and will miss you this week!.  I hope you all have a wonderful week!

  3. Hi Tina~

I'm glad VBS went so well for you all this week. :)

I have been considering a blogging break (for a week) to really hammer out my lesson plans for the next year. I am so woefully overwhelmed and behind. I did get some organization done, however... come check out my S&T post for today. :D

Have a lovely week's break, and you've given me some things to think about. I've already set hours for myself for computer time in my new schedule, but hadn't broken it down any further than that. I'll have to re-read your post and do some pondering.

    Be blessed!

  12. We're doing MOH III this year in a co op. I haven't even seen the material yet (duh), but knew I wanted Josiah to be with the other kids for this one. These decisions we make over the years.......

I hope your scheduling goes well. It's so fun to plan it all out. But I always end up having to redo mine as we get behind...ha.
