Run Up the Mountain

Matthew 14:23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

As the busy season approaches take time to meet God on the mountain. Jesus was very busy during his time here on earth but he never failed to spend time with the Father.

Consider these examples of time with God from the Scriptures.

Mark 1:35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.

Psalm 119:15 I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways.

Psalm 119:48 I lift up my hands to your commands, which I love, and I meditate on your decrees.

Psalm 5:3 In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.

Spending quiet time daily with the Lord is food for our soul. It restores the chaos and brings order. It gives us strength to fight the spiritual battles of the day. And mostly it allows us close relationship with the Father.

  3. I have been wanting to read through the Bible, again.

Haven't done that in a long time.

During a Beth Moore study I really became convicted it was time.

I am now in Ezra. I have gained such a Love for God's word.

    Blessings,

    Michelle

Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you. Psalms 143:8
