I want to share our 'cat proof' ornaments. We have 5 cats. Two are still in kitten mode and one in particular eats everything. ( legos, polly pockets, bread ties to name just a few) So we thought we would play it safe this year and make ornaments.
The gals made these out of plastic easter eggs. The cats love them and really play with them. These are hung around the very bottom of the tree.

These paper ones are so much fun to make!

Three of the furbabies. Fancy, Fudgy, and Abby. We call them the three blonds...no clue! ( I know they are grey but the name stuck)

Behr with his person. He fell during a jump this week and hit his head...he is doing better but still sore. We have long thought he has poor vision. He tried to jump onto our trunk at the end of our bed at full run in the dark....he hit his head very hard, square on with the trunk.
He is always this relaxed though!

With his mom and dad at his college graduation party....and yes dad is doing the bunny ears. Such is life at our house. Humor is good.

FIVE cats? Lucky duck. I miss my kitties very much. We've always had cats .We had one that knocked the ornaments around a lot. Sadly they are no more (the cats, not the ornaments). Once we move to our homestead, my DH has told me I can have another (or 2?) cats again. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteYour cats are gorgeous! We used to put tiny bells at the bottom of our tree also, and it worked (we have two cats). Great S&T!
ReplyDeleteBlessing, Karen
Happy birthday to your son. Where does the time go? My dd will be sixteen in two weeks. Ugh! Still not looking forward to her driving experiences.
ReplyDeleteI like the cat proof tree. For some reason, our indoor cat never bothers the tree. I think she tried once years ago but hasn't since.

The ornaments are a good idea - our household has to deal with a little white dog that likes to steal the nativity set pieces. We don't know why.
ReplyDeleteBTW, on behalf of all the blondes out here, those cats look very intelligent ;o)
Awww, those cats are so pretty. Sure do feel for the last one there though but he does look like he is comfortable. lol
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
