Tuesday Project Party

I need a Monday through Sunday project party! Life has a way of causing clutter and things that need to be done that get pushed back till "later" So thanks Lori for setting some accountability, fellowship and fun.

I have to say I have already completed the first project on a long list of projects. I do not have any before and after photos. I spent six hours in my bedroom this past weekend. NO I was not ill, nor was I having gal time with the girls, or a nap. I cleaned and sorted every drawer and the closet. I tried on every piece of clothing. I really dislike doing this!
The result? Three large bags ready to go to the thrift store and one large bag of trash. Winter clothes all packed away ( sadly I did not even get to wear most of them this year as we had no winter)
I came to the conclusion that the four different sizes of clothing I found means I have gained more weight ( than I was willing to admit)  ...I need to get serious about life style changes.
Overall it was good to get it done.

So on to more goals. Here is a list.
Personal
Start a food journal, calorie count, and get moving daily.
Maybe get back on Spark People.
Kitchen
Scrub the outside of all kitchen cupboards.
Wash large decorative plates that are on top of cupboards.
Suck up all the unseen spider webs.
Clean and organize all stuff in sideboard ( there are no doors so stuff get dusty)
Clean behind washer and dryer ( you know the unseen stuff, bet I find a few socks)
Pantry
Inventory and purge any out dated food.
Menu Plan
Family
Wash and put all winter coats, hats, gloves, and scarves in the attic.
Find a storage solution for winter blankets.
Print out photos for upcoming gift.
School
Plan for one ( sad face). Get the creative juices flowing. This is a special time.
Help dd 18 to get a successful start at the local college. ( transcript, test scores, scholarship info etc)

Okay that is all I can think of at the moment. So next week I will let you know if I actually accomplished or at least started any of this!

  1. Oh, that's a long list! If you do one from each section, I'd say you were a success. :-)

  2. Oooh, I need to do the clothing-try-on-thing, too! Yup, too many sizes of clothing. I get you on this!

Your list is long and ambitious...I'm so glad you're joining me! I will be praying for you each morning, before I start my tasks...let's do it together! Pray for energy for the work, the strength of the Lord, for happy spirits as we work, and for Him to be glorified in our homes!

    Love you, Tina!

  3. Hello! You have given me so much inspiration to start decluttering and cleaning my household. Especially, trying on clothes and see if they are wearable. God bless, Rose
