Lets Click 365 Homemade Soup

I was blessed to get a brand new crockpot for Christmas! ( my old one cracked). I use the crock a lot. Love the slow cook flavor, the ease of having a good, hot meal ready on a busy day, and the way it makes my home smell so good.
Here is the new bright and shinny workhorse. It even has a "baby" crock!
One of our favorites is Vegetable Beef Soup.  So simple. Brown 1 lb of hamburger with 1 Tablespoon Italian spices, 1 teaspoon garlic and 3 Tablespoons of dried onion. Place this mixture in the crockpot. Add 4 cups beef stock ( homemade, canned, cubes...whatever works for you). Add to that : 1 can tomato sauce, 1 can chopped tomatoes, 2 Tablespoons brown sugar, 3 stalks of celery, 3 large carrots, ( both finely chopped), 2 lg peeled and coarsely chopped potatoes, and 1 can corn, drained. Cook on Low for 6 hours or on high for 4 hours.

  2. Love the new crockpots, nice. I need a new one bad, but waiting for the finances to get one. That soup sounds real yummy. I'm going to pin it so I can make it in the future. :)
