Tightwad Tuesday

Christmas

Our family does a 25 days of Christmas Craft thing. Been doing it since the oldest was about four. We do a craft a day till christmas. This takes planning. Now that they are older we do more gifts and baked goods for others.

Starting early affords me lots of savings on time and money. I start early in the year with a list such as below. I make a materials list and keep an eye out for sales, yard sales and give aways. Perhaps some of  you will be inspired also!

Christmas Cards

This year we plan to make our own using some of the kids wonderful photography shots. However here are a few ideas.

  1. Thank you so much for sharing these great resources.

I enjoyed your blog entries last Christmas.

It always inspired me to get crafty during the holidays.

I feel burried in school planning. But should be thinking about Christmas plans as well.

    Blessings,

    Linda

  7. I tried this a few years ago and found that I wasn't organized enough to pull it off. So, I guess that I had better get started planning now to be ready for this Christmas. What a great tradition this would make. Thanks for the links to the craft and recipe ideas. We did manage to make our tract ornaments - Christmas stockings made out of Fun Foam and laced together with yarn. Then we put a Santa Money Tract inside and delivered them to the neighbors.

  8. What great links! Just a reminder, tomorrow I'm hosting Weblink Wednesday again (after taking two weeks off for vacation). Be sure to participate by sharing your favorite link to any educational site with other homeschool mom's - stop by either tonight or tomorrow and post your post. This entry would fit wonderfully!!!! Thanks.
