Walking with the Lord

Its Show and Tell time and I really did not have anything to show! We have just been busy enjoying the summer. I posted this post earlier in the week but felt it might bless a few of you. Our lives are so full of being moms, teachers, wives, and many many other things.Sharing a bit of our personal walk is humbling.

I just wanted to share what the Lord is doing in and through our lives. Last week I was battle weary. The Lord always provides our every need but I was just weary and the needs seemed like such a huge mountian. My husband needed to go to the doctor. Cost:$200.00. Anyway I shared with our bible study group that I just needed prayer for encouragement. We are short each month a 1500.00. You read that correctly. It has to do with disability, insurance and so much more. But the Lord has faithfully provided for our needs  and that lack for the past two years in ways you cannot imagin. So asking for encouragment in the battle was not just about a wee bit of cash but courage and strength to keep trusting and giving all the glory to God. The Ladies prayed. We also ask for favor from the doctors and that the doctors find a reason for all his pain. ( he has had both hips replaced and should no longer experience so much pain )

As I left that evening someone handed me a check for the amount of the doctors visit. I don't know this person well and know the Lord spoke through her. When my husband came home from the doctors appointment he showed me a script...12 FREE Physical Therapy appointments! The xrays were free and they are trying to lower the cost of the visit as well. I call that Favor and Encouragement!

About three months ago I fell and damaged my ring finger. Had to take off my wedding rings. ( first time in 29 years!) The joint is now enlarged and I now cannot put the rings back on. I looked into getting the rings resized and fixed. ( they are very worn) The price was too steep.

Last week I was lamenting to the Lord about my rings. After all I missed them! Okay I was whinning to the Lord. Could He please provide the means for me to get the rings fixed? You see I am dyslexic and have problems telling left from right. I am used to using my ring to help me navigate. I also missed the symbol of our marriage. Friday we had cell group at our home. One of the ladies whom I am just getting to know came up to me and said " I don't know why, but the Lord impressed on me that I was to give you these rings." Now you know I jumped up and down on the inside! She continued on to tell me her side of the story. God was using her to bless me with a non-need. She was being blessed by obedience to the Lord. She did not know my saga of the rings.

I also had another answer to prayer this week. I needed a means to buy a few things for school in the fall and music lessons. I was offered a high paying part time job that will do just that!

So I learned alot this week! I know my Father takes care of my needs. Its okay to be weary and cry out to the Lord. And because He loves me He listens to me whine too. He cares about the details.

    Wow, the Lord really answered your prayers last week. PTL! It is so hard sometimes to wait on the Lord to answer our prayers. I have a very difficult time with waiting.

    Thanks for helping me see things in perspective. : )

    Hugs,

    Pam

  5. My Sweet friend,

    You have BLESSED me by sharing what God is doing in your life !!! I have a AMAZING verse to give you and show you what God is doing.

    Psalms 20

    May the Lord answer you when you are in distress;

    may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.

    May he send you help from the santuary and grant you support from Zion.

    May he remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings.

    May he give you the desires of your heart and make all your plans succeed.

    We will shout for joy when you are victorious and will lift up our banners in the name of our God.

    May the Lord grant all your requests. Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed;

    he answers him from his holy heaven with the saving power of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.

    ~Yes, you are right God cares about everything in our lives. Even our desires of our heart. (((((((HUGS)))))

  7. I'm so glad that you shared this testimony with us...it has really encouraged me. Sometimes I have trouble humbling myself to ask - but our Father really wants us to trust Him to meet our needs. He wants us to 'knock' so He can open that door to us.

    Blessings,

    Laurie

  11. It may not seem like much, but God has a way of using our testamonies to minister to others!!

    That's what you've done for me. Thank you for your obedience in sharing. It was exactly what I needed to hear this week. God is ever faithful even when we are not!!

    Thanks again,

  12. Tina,

    I am glad God prompted me to share that scripture with you . I think God wanted to remind me of it too. I needed to be reminded that we wtih the Lord will be victorious in our trials. It as been a LONG road with the battle for our water rights and I am getting tired and discouraged. I have been doubting myself and if we really did hear God to be here on this land. Please pray that things will be settled this year in the courts with our neighbor. I need to give a updated post about this but haven't yet. ((sigh)) I guess I keep waiting for a break through but non as of yet. I don't know why I said all this but I guess I felt you would truely understand. ((hug))

    I am so very happy for you that the Lord has provided for not only these things you've shared with us today, but for all of your earthly needs these last two years when you've fallen so very short. I will keep you in my prayers, my friend, and rejoice with you because our Heavenly Father has kept His loving arms around you and yours!!

    May you have a very blessed weekend!
