Homemade Christmas

http://www.simplyvintagegirl.com/blog/index.php/category/a-homemade-christmas/

We love homemade Christmas at our house! Here is a gift we made for Grandma and Grandpa in 2001  ( awe arn't the kids cute ) The quality of the photos is what is was with the camera we had! ( not so good )

This takes lots of time, patience, and is a bit messy.  We used the bowl method with saran wrap. We had so much fun making these. We used real dried flowers from our garden. The last one is ferns that we pressed the year we visited Grandma and Grandpa.

This is not a last minute project. Start now for to have gifts in time for Christmas. We also made paper mache beads. But I do not have a photo of them.

Go here for ideas on Paper Mache:

  3. Those turned out so nice! Silly me, I never thought of using Paper Mache to make something useful! That is a great idea! I especially like the pressed flowers to add extra beauty ... so sweet! And yes, your girls were so cute - and they are turning into lovely young ladies!

Thank you for participating, it is great to be inspired by others homemade gifts!

    Blessings,

  4. That is very neat idea. I took an art class that taught how to draw and pottery. I made a couple of bowls but I was only 8-9 so they weren't very good. But I had a lot of fun with them.

  5. Thanks for sharing your pictures and ideas. I made something like that when I was a little girls, but they never were pretty like those. I like the idea of adding things to it, like the ferns and such.
