Tightwad Tuesday

Aprons. Okay my grandma wore them, my aunt lived in them  and my mom had one for every occassion and daily wear. Me? I have helped teach how to make a simple one for 4-H. Thats it! I think they are so pretty and they are practicle. They do help to keep your clothes clean. Anyway I made this one this week out of a pair of cast away jean shorts and cast away fabric ( use to be my girlfriends curtians). Cost: $0.00. I did not use a pattern just kinda guessed. My mistake!!!! Now this whimsical apron is bear clothes! At least it is not waisted.

Here is a few web pages with free patterns for making aprons.  I should have used a pattern!

  2. This is a great idea. I have blue jeans that are now too big. It's getting into the baking season and I think I may try this. I really don't know how to sew, but I may try it to get one of these. Thanks for the links to the patterns. I'm not brave enough to try one without it!!

    Thank you, my friend!!

  4. I have a load of fabric just waiting to be turned into aprons. I like your apron, even if it fit the bear!
