Making Beads

I have been working on making beads. These photos show the beads unfinished. I have to wait on warm weather so I can lacquer the beads. Once coated with a few coats of lacquer they will have a hard finish. Then each bead will be hand decorated. The cost of the beads so far is zero.  They are made of paper from discarded magazines I get from our library. I have been collecting stuff to decorate them with for a long time. The only cost will be the findings for necklaces and earrings.

  6. They're beautiful. I remember my mom making these when I was a little girl.
