I was sure I did not have anything to post on Show and Tell this friday...untill I visited my dd blog! She has posted photos of our "big snow". http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/pokadot Now please understand that this small amount of snow closed school and caused delays in the military ( start time for work). Being raised in the pacific northwest I find this funny!
This bit of snow actually stayed on the ground for two days. A record here! It also was the cause of a frozen pipe in our home. A first for us in all the years we have lived here.
Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
Good Morning, Tina!
ReplyDeleteBeing from the extremely snowy state of Michigan, I look upon your amount of snow as the cause of major closings with disbelief. I do know, however, that it's true - one of those things under the heading of "stranger than fiction," lol!
Thank you for your kind words on my post - I'll pass them pertinent ones along to Piper. :)
Have a wonderful weekend!
love,
Shani
We're in VA too but we got a bit more snow than that. My dd also posted pictures on her blog. http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/AnAmericanGirl/
ReplyDeleteIt's 45 this morning and while the roads are clear, we still have piles of it everywhere. I'd rather not have any snow at all!
My show and tell is here

Coming from Wisconsin, which has been buried in snow two winters in a row now, this amount of snow is a bit amusing. However, I understand how it can be when unexpected weather hits an area. About now, I'd love to live in a place that doesn't get snow very often!
ReplyDeleteThat is to funny! The same thing happens around our area. School is closed for a few snowflakes. lol

I just got back from your dd's blog. What GREAT pics ! And she got to document history too to boot ! I am looking forward to seeing some green now. On the way to town we kept getting excited when we saw some ground or grass. ( even though it is brown still and hasn't turned green ...yet)
ReplyDeleteI am soooooo glad you were still able to join in on S&T. ((HUGS))
Sending you blessings and ((HUGS)) my SSiC

We got about two inches from the snow storm. THe best we have had in years. Nice pictures. I like the ice drip one.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Dawn
Here in Georgia it's been awhile since we had any accumulation so the kids were thrilled with our two inches!
ReplyDeleteWe got about 4 inches and everything shut down! I think it might be a military thing.
