This week I seem to be back on track and had a huge sucess in weight loss.
I started stretching and strength exercises. ( very small amount but I started!) I am using Spark to track my progress. They have great exercise demos, list and plans. Tracking it will help me stay focused. This is my most disliked thing to do.
I increased my fiber intake. ( 2T wheat germ and 2Tflax every day). One of my favorite dessert style treats is 1/4 cup granola, 2 T flax, 2 T wheat germ, and 2T favorite perserve or jam. Mix and eat. I usually eat this when the kids are having evening dessert. My granola has raisins, crasins, nuts and oats in it.
I monitered everthing I ate this week on Spark. They break down what you eat and it helps you to see where you fall short in nutrition. I needed to increase my protein. This process took some time and dedication. I may start writing it down and then just going to Spark once at the end of my day to record it all.
I still do the protein shake once or twice a week. I found it was too filling and too bulky for my bowel system to have one each day. I use it on busy crazy days when I am out the door and may not have good choices for lunch or dinner. I also was blessed a while back with lots of Genisoy bars. ( 4 boxes of 12) They are high protien bars that are packed full of nutrients. A meal in itself that keeps you feeling full for a long time. These bars are pricy so it was a blessing to get them. I think they are worth the money and may buy them when my supply runs out. It is almost 16.00 for 12 of them. ( I said they were pricy!) I did the vinegar tonic 2 times this week. I am still getting use to it! I think I just need to make it weaker. My drink was 2T in a 16 oz glass of water. It needs some honey! But I am not willing to use the calories! My mint is coming up and I think will soon be big enough for me to pick. Mint and Rasberry Green tea with the vinegar might taste good!
I increased the cheyenne pepper and ginger in my coffee ( these are metabolism boosters). Increased negative calore foods for my munchie times. Made sure I had lots of stuff prepared ahead of time to avoid incorrect snacking. I still snack...so if I must snack I am resigned to making sure its the correct foods.
