Weightloss Wednesday

I stayed within the weight range this week ( 4lbs up and down). Lost one pound early in the week. Did moderate exercise this week. Too much rain for good walking. Kept the stretching up. Still trying to form a habit of doing a routine of exercise daily. (areobic type other than walking)


I checked out several books at the library on how to cook low fat/ low calorie/low carb.


Hungry Girl by Lisa Lillien  This little gem is full of everyday recipes, valuable calore and nutrient information.


Farewell to Fat Richard Simmons  Not a fan...but the book is full of comfort foods.


Idiots Gude to Good Fat, Good Carb Meals by Jori Morgan and Jody Whipple  A no nonsense, no picture book. Just the recipes and the facts!


99% Fat-Free Meals in 30 Minutes by Bary Bluestein and Kevin Morrissey Not so everyday type recipes but lots of info on making stuff with less fat.


I am enjoying planning meals once again. I do not need to stay out of the kitchen to control my eating habits.


Spark People has an excellent article on Carbohydrates. I follow the guidelines they list except when it comes to breads. I just cannot eat 6-11 servings! ( I do only two each day) And honey. I love honey in my tea and on my plain yoghurt.

  1. I finally got up WLW. I have been sick most of the week. Feeling better today. You are doing great. Great idea of looking at the library for cookbooks. I spend most of my time in the kids section, I will have to branch out when I go next week. I have been wanting to look at some....can't believe I did not think of the library. Silly me!! I always check there first for everything else.

  3. Thanks for all those neat links. Good for you and your weight control ! My weight is still only 2 lbs down. But I am learning A LOT about food right now. I love that is happening for me. I am soooooo happy for you that your are enjoying the meal planning. That is still to come for me. I do want to join your meme ! Please don't give up on me yet. I don't know why I don't like to. Well actually I kind do and I will have to email you about that. Oh ps. thank you soooooooo much for your email and prayers. I really nead that.
