Fruits of Our Labor

We knew that this year was going to be very busy and we would not have time to tend a vegetable garden,. However we did have time to plant a new flower garden. It was hard work removing all the grass and rocks.

Here is a before the seeds were planted photo.

The area is quite large. We planted lots of seeds that we have collected over the year. Many of the seedlings drown when we had way too much rain over the spring and early summer. Here is what survived.

  1. What a BEAUTIFUL garden the Lord blessed you with this year. I am so happy you put up your slide show. I have been waiting and what a blessing it was to see it. I pray you have a very blessed week as you serve your Lord as you do. You are such a blessing to others and may you never grow weary.

  2. What a miracle, isn't it, the transformation from bare ground to beauty! I'm glad you have something so lovely to look at every day.

  3. Those are just beautiful. I really do not have a knack for growing things, except kids I guess, but I do love looking at a beautiful garden.

Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. Been very busy day, catching up from being gone all month. Back to the bike tonight. I have gained 12 lbs. I was kind of discouraged, but it was my own fault and a hernia too. Once the hernia got bigger, I quit working out all together, afraid I would mess it up. Then for some stupid reason I also started eating whatever again. And being in Atlanta was like being on vacation.....had way too many sweets and high fat foods. The bad part was I had already gained 7 lbs when I went and packed on 5 more. I am back to my meal plan and exercising. My bike does not strain too much, so I think I will be fine. I go back to the Dr Aug 11, maybe surgery will be schedule someday. I have been simplifying everything. Purged all the kids clothes today....closets are done. Just have mine and hubbies to do. I am so proud of you and your accomplishments. I reach the 1 year mark Oct 1, so I hope to at least loose the 12 I put on and maybe more. (20 is my goal~~that would be 37.5 in the year~~wished it was more, but the past few months have been bad) I can only go foward!! Thank you for being such a great friend!!!

    Be blessed,

    Chasity

  4. Praying for healing for your daughter in law. I am glad she is ok and that you were able to be there for her. Also praying for those with the swine flu. Is it as bad as they say?

Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you. Psalms 143:8
