Last Post on the Zoo

So many pictures and so little storage space!!! The train is new to the zoo. Fun. It gives a glimps of most animals and is a nice rest at the end of a long walk.

  1. Did your hubby and see this with you. I know how much he loves trains. [0= You all are so blessed with such a great zoo. No zoos close to us. Closest I think is maybe 4 hours away. ((sniff sniff))

  2. No. He is unable to walk that much. It was just Em and I. He did enjoy the pictures though. I really want to see the zoo in DC. Its FREE! And very very big.

  3. I love zoos. We went to a little one while we were on holidays, so Miss 10 got to see monkeys for the first time in her life!

  5. Hi Tina,
Nice to hear from you. In answer to your question, no, I am not working this weekend. It is nice to have the weekend off, and even more so, because it's a holiday weekend.

We had a very emotionally-draining day in the ER yesterday. It was so heart-wrenching that I came home and wept. I had those lovely dark rings under my eyes when I got up this morning. With a day like that, it's all the more reason to be thankful that I have a couple of days off from work.

I love, love, love my job, but you sure do see things there that break your heart.

  6. Thank you so much for your comment on the crustless pie post. I never thought of recipes!

I didn't add any recipes, but I did make it more practical, with some tips that we've learned over the years.

PS I miss seeing new things on your blog. I hope all is well and that you're enjoying a well-deserved bloggy break.

  7. Awe thanks ...I am in a blog fog. Who wants to read about decluttering, organizing, and everyday work? Anyway very happily busy with all of that and more. Glad for the time to really clean stuff out before school this fall. Its a new season for us with just high schoolers now. That feels weird! We are also in a new season as parents of newlyweds. This past month has proved to us that parenting never ends. I embrace the changes in our life fully and rejoice that we have but to give it all over to the Lord!

  8. I wonder if the trouble you are having has anything to do with the photo storage. I'm still using www.dropshots.com to host mine and haven't had any trouble, but I've come across several complaints about there not being much space available. Have you tried moving your photos to an independent site?

  9. I still have space in storage as most of my photos are on photobucket and picturetrail. I am really wanting to know what term of service I violated. I had to click accept to the violation in order to read your comment. I just think its weird that there is no place to go to view terms of service or that they do not tell you what you did wrong so you can avoid the mistake in the future. I did look at dropshots...could not figure out how to put them on the blog? Perhaps I just missed it? I uploaded a few photos but then could not find where to get a code for the blog.

  11. The one in St. Louis is huge, also, and is free as well. I took the boys and niece to it, and we will definitely go back - it's wonderful! Glad you both had such a wonderful time. :) ((HUGS))

  12. That sounds so frustrating!
    To post pictures from dropshots:
I write all the text of my post first. At the top of the box where you are typing there's a tab that says HTML. Click that. On dropshots, click on the picture you want to add. Underneath there is a button that says blog. If you press that the code will come up in a pop up. Just copy and paste the code in the big box. You don't have to select any specific type. I hit return a couple of times to separate the code from the text, so I can remove it easily later if I want to. When I'm finished I go back to the visual tab and delete the little link for dropshots at the bottom of each photo. (I don't like the way it looks).

I find it to be the easiest way to add photos, and I like dropshots because it's a lot "cleaner". No ads or pictures other people have posted (so I know strangers are probably not looking at mine either!).

I've been using it for 4 years and now pay $4.95 a month because we store ALL our family photos there. My out of town family likes to look at them.

Have you emailed anyone at HSB about your trouble?
