The Mirror

Was a gift.... and we used it as a back drop for our daughters graduation buffet.

Then....
My husband carefully put it back together and hung it in a place of honor where it will be admired for years to come.

 there is a hole in the silver....so we put something creative in it.

A little decoration....I can see this changing with the seasons.

In researching the mark on the back of the mirror we discovered that this fireplace mirror was probably made in Indiana in or around 1870s. This is just a portion of the structure. It would have been much larger.
