Make your own Soil

Do not throw the kitchen scraps, lawn scraps, dryer lint, newspaper in the trash! Use it to make the best soil there is! Its free!

I like to compost right into the garden in trenches or in an open pile. No money is needed on fancy compost bins. An easy bin is a plastic trash container with a lid. You need to put a few holes in in. I like to use this one for my house plant soil. Another form is in a heavy black trash bags. This works well if the bottom is vented.

Here are some great articles on composting.

  1. Yes composting is the best, though I just have a large area where I dump all my scraps and cuttings.

I pray blessings on your plans this week. You will for sure have to show us your Art Wall. My lesson plans still have to happen. ((sigh)) I haven't even been able to knit lately. Well that is probably b/c I am trying to design a basic template for those who want to use those fancy templates that the middle scrolls up and down. [0; Acts of service are a good thing.
